Honeyville's Quick Cook Red Beans are excellent for long-term food storage and everyday use. There’s no need to stand over the stovetop, waiting for your beans to cook. Our beans cook quickly, in as little as 20 minutes, for a flavorful and healthy dish. If an emergency arises, you won’t need to worry about whether your family is getting the nutrition they need if you have red beans in your food storage. Red beans are popular in Mexico and the southwestern United States. They’re often used to create dishes such as soup, chili con carne, and red bean curry. Add them to our Long Grain Brown Rice to cook up a scrumptious dish of red beans and rice.

Shelf-Life: Stores for 10 to 15 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).

Instructions: Add 2 parts boiling water to 1 part beans, then cover and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook on simmer for 20 to 25 minutes, drain and serve.

Uses:  Quick Cook Red Beans can be used to make burritos, chili, soups and any recipe calling for red beans.

Packaging: Quick Cook Red Beans are sealed air tight in a #10 can and weighs approximately 3 pounds. A case contains 6 #10 cans and weighs 8 pounds. Each can contains 36 servings. One serving size is 5 tbsp (38g).
