Ratings vs. Reviews

Ratings and reviews are 2 different things. A rating is just someone clicking on a number of stars and not including any commentary. A review has both a number of stars as well as feedback (good bad or indifferent). You can see all reviews by clicking on "See all reviews for this product" above and to the right. Hope that helps.

Seriously...

Yea someone must have used a bot to try and game this system or something. This stuff ROCKS! Anyone who gives it a bad rating must not like tomatos is the only thing I can think of. You couldn't tell the difference between this and tomato paste if you tried! A little goes a LONG WAY and should be in everyone's pantry! I quit buying tomato sauces or pastes in cans and I use this stuff for everything now. Its nice to be able to just add maybe a tablespoon to a pot of soup just to give it a little tiny bit of a zing. I started making soup mixes for friends as gifts using all dry ingredients and everyone loves them and can never figure out how I'm able to do it! I use these gifts to introduce people to food storage and have at least converted a few people over to the idea of being a little more prepared in these troubled times.

Backpacking Cook

Used this with Honeyville beef tvp mushrooms green peppers and onions to make the best spaghetti we ever had camping. We stopped buying prepared freeze dried camper meals and create our own meals. We have been the envy of the trips for several years. Only problem is that everyone wants me to do all of the cooking!

Awesome

This product is so awesome and easy to use. It's great in soups homemade hamburger helpish type dishes breakfast burrito's chili etc. I don't have to have a pantry with 30 small cans of tomato sauces or pastes. I really don't understand why it has such low star ratings unless it's competitor's doing it...?

This is an EXCELLENT product to have on hand. I no longer buy tomato paste in a can. With this tomato powder I can mix up as little or as much as I need. It makes a great pizza sauce. Add it to beef stew for a little bit of kick. Add it to baked beans to offset the sweetness.

Great Stuff

This is the best thing I've bought in quite a while. Makes excellent tomato paste & sauce. I've used it for soups both straight tomato soup and as a base for other kinds of soup. I've mixed it into burgers. My kids eat it. Just today I made individual pizzas for lunch by making homemade yeast rolls then mixing up some sauce (2 kid-medicine-measuring cups + about 1/3 c water + garlic powder + basil & other Italian seasonings) to spread on the rolls and top with cheese.

Tomato Powder

I Love to use tomato powder. If you are making sauce and its not thick enough you just add a little at a time. If you use fresh toamtoes sometimes it's hard to get it thick enough so this is a great solution.
