Taste better than the can sauce!

I tried this yesterday in my pinto bean and tvp mixture. It was wonderful!
One can will last quite a long time at our house, or maybe not since it was so good!

Wonderful for Canning

I forgot I had an unopened can of this on a shelf and we cooked our sauce down for close to 18 hours until it was thick enough to can. Today we prepared a slightly smaller batch of tomatoes and adding this powder along with my seasonings, greatly increased the volume I can put up and reduced the cooking time to an hour or two.
Plan to keep a can or two of this on hand for canning and use instead paste to thicken sauces.
Thank you for carrying this terrific product!

Best stuff ever!!

Loved using this tomato powder for spaghetti sauce and for pizza sauce. Needed a bit of sugar to reduce the tang but it is an excellent product in my opinion. I will be buying more of this item as soon as I can.

Excellent!

My elderly yet very independent Italian parents need meals that can be quickly and easily prepared. We all thoroughly enjoyed the ease of preparation and authentic Italian taste of Chef Tess's Saucy Baked Ziti with Sausage. I packed up a dozen jars for my parents. I have purchased the ingredients and will soon try Chef Tess Country-Style Scalloped Potatoes and Ham Au Gratin Skillet Meal and 6 Grain Carrot Cake Breakfast Pudding 'meal in a jar' recipes.

Works Great - (helpful hint)

I have been using this product to try to create / replace healthier convenience meals. It works great in a variety of recipes. I have found that when making a tomato sauce the acidity is a bit high (like it would be if using tomato paste) but is easily balanced out with a little baking soda. I've used approximately 1/4 tsp per cup of tomato powder. I'm sure it varies with the tomato sources like it does when making sauce from scratch.

Great Stuff!!

I can't believe this product has such a low rating. What's up with that?? I am so pleased with how it tastes and how easy it is to use. Love having this on hand!

Amazing!

I'm very impressesed! I used it for the first time tonight for dinner I made tomato paste for a pasta dish. Simply amazing just like to tomato paste that you would buy in the can. Added the water stirred and immediately I had paste. I originally bought to use in meals in a jar recipes but will definitely keep on hand in the pantry. I'm still amazed how easy it is to use great taste and texture and above all great price to keep as a pantry staple as well as how versatile for meal prep and emergency storage. Love it!

Very versatile!

I also purchased the tomato powder to use in Chef Tess' 52 Jar meals. I have started using it to add flavor to soups thicken stews and tonight used it to make pizza sauce. I usually add seasonings to canned tomato sauce but tonight only needed enough for myself and my husband. Loved that I could make just enough. Sauce had much better flavor than what I have made before. I'll definitely be purchasing more.

It Just May Come In Handy

I bought Tomato Powder to try it. Made our Black Bean Chili with it. Not alone but mixed with tomato juice. It added a real nice flavor and body to the chili. My family really liked it but we were surprised when we first opened the can and it was not much more than half-full.
