The umami characteristics and texture make for a good meat substitute in many dishes. I often grind them up and mix with a little soy sauce for a paste to add to the slow cooker as a browning flavor substitute. A touch chewier than fresh, but not bad at all.Review by willy
These are perfect for cooking. I throw a handful into whatever I am cooking and I have a rich mushroom taste. The slices are nice. I live in the wilderness of Maine and sometimes I am house bound for a while but I use these products and do not need to worry about shopping or running out during a storm or the aftermath of a storm.Review by Nora
