Honeyville's Powdered Whole Eggs are made from fresh eggs in the U.S. for optimal quality and safety. Dried eggs do not require any refrigeration, so you can have eggs on your next camping or backpacking trip to make early morning scrambled eggs or omelets on the go. They also work great for baking, especially if you love to eat raw dough. Dried eggs take out the fear of bacteria since it gets killed in the drying process, so you and the kids can enjoy all that delicious cookie dough when using powdered whole eggs.

Whole egg powder, when blended with water, reconstitutes into freshly whipped eggs. Use them for any recipe or dish as a direct substitute for fresh eggs. With a longer shelf life and a lower price per egg than store bought eggs, Honeyville's powdered eggs are the best for long term storage, emergency preparedness, and everyday cooking for you and your family.

Shelf-Life: Stores for up to 3 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).

Instructions:  To reconstitute one egg, mix 2 tablespoons of Powdered Whole Eggs with 4 tablespoons of water. When using with other dry ingredients, it is not necessary to reconstitute egg. Simply add to dry ingredients and increase water measurements in mixture to necessary amount. One #10 can of powdered eggs is equivalent to about 80 large fresh carton eggs.

Uses: Use for anything that calls for eggs in the recipe, including baked goods, omelets, scrambled eggs and more.

Cooking powdered eggs

Powdered eggs are great scrambled. The secret is to add vegetable oil use milk instead of water and let your reconstituted eggs sit a while. I mix the eggs then refrigerate overnight. Use in cooking just as you would whole eggs. If frying season highly. Delicious!

Disappointed

I have tried these twice. Both times I simply could not choke them down as scrambled eggs. Even putting hot sauce on them didn't help. They are nasty. I haven't tried them in baking yet so I will report back after I do. I am very disappointed because I purchased quite a few #10 cans for my stash. I think I am going to try the OvaEasy eggs next and see if they are any better.

Good Bodybuilder Alternative

This (plus the powdered egg whites) make a great alternative highly assimilable protein powder for bodybuilding. Some folks can't tolerate whey protein well and every egg protein powder I've tried was nasty and didn't mix well. Honeyville's powdered eggs & egg whites mix very well with water are inexepensive compared to the crazy prices "bodybuilder protein powders" go for and can be used "raw" or cooked since the avidin in the egg whites have already been neutralized due to the pasturization process. I usually use the whole eggs + egg whites in 1:2 ratio (1 scoop whole w/ 2 scoops whites). In this way you can regulate how much fat you're getting. The powdered eggs mix easily in water and if you mix in a little stevia or sweetener it tastes like egg nog. However as others have said they don't seem to make very good scrambled eggs. However what they do make is a very awesome egg pancake. I mix the powdered eggs and whites together in some water along with a little psyllium husk (for fiber) to make a runny batter. Toss it in a pre-heated skillet turn it down to medium and let it cook for about 5-10 minutes. Flip let sit for 1-2 minutes and you've got a great custardy-tasting pancake. Throw some low/no-sugar jam on top and it tastes great. On a low-carb diet this is my go-to treat meal when I'm craving something sweet. I'm really happy I found these things.

Owner

I love these eggs. I can promote the safety to my customers explaining there is no worry of salmonella poisoning from fresh eggs. I have found that one tablespoon of egg powder double the water provides the same volume as one raw egg so that will help stretch out the use. I also bought the powdered egg whites. Also terrific to use I did get clumping when I mixed dry egg powder so I now mix the egg powder/water in a blender first. Workds great. I highly recommend any baker to start using this powder.

Regular Item

I first bought this because we were making a large quantity of flax pancake mix and I wanted it to only require water. Went over so well that I always keep a can in the pantry.

GOOD FOR MAKING YOUR OWN MIXES

I like to use these to prepare my own pancake mix for camping etc. much easier than carrying and handling fresh eggs and taste is not affected. I have also added to large egg casseroles etc. where it takes a lot of eggs. I don't use them alone but do mix them in with real eggs. Being shelf stable they are handy anytime you need eggs in a pinch!

Better than expected

I got this pretty quickly after ordering and tried them straight away. They actually tasted no different than fresh eggs. I am the type that never finishes a container of food before it expires so I started buying this long term storage stuff. In the end it actually makes it cheaper for me.

Adds great flavor

Originally purchased it due to the large amount of eggs I buy for baking. Depending on the recipe the powdered eggs add more flavor as they are so well constituted. I love this product! Saves me multiple trips to the store. Make great scrambled eggs.
