Honeyville's Powdered Whole Eggs are made from fresh eggs in the U.S. for optimal quality and safety. Dried eggs do not require any refrigeration, so you can have eggs on your next camping or backpacking trip to make early morning scrambled eggs or omelets on the go. They also work great for baking, especially if you love to eat raw dough. Dried eggs take out the fear of bacteria since it gets killed in the drying process, so you and the kids can enjoy all that delicious cookie dough when using powdered whole eggs.

Whole egg powder, when blended with water, reconstitutes into freshly whipped eggs. Use them for any recipe or dish as a direct substitute for fresh eggs. With a longer shelf life and a lower price per egg than store bought eggs, Honeyville's powdered eggs are the best for long term storage, emergency preparedness, and everyday cooking for you and your family.

Shelf-Life: Stores for up to 3 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).

Instructions:  To reconstitute one egg, mix 2 tablespoons of Powdered Whole Eggs with 4 tablespoons of water. When using with other dry ingredients, it is not necessary to reconstitute egg. Simply add to dry ingredients and increase water measurements in mixture to necessary amount. One #10 can of powdered eggs is equivalent to about 80 large fresh carton eggs.

Uses: Use for anything that calls for eggs in the recipe, including baked goods, omelets, scrambled eggs and more.

Not bad at all

I really had something in my head against powdered eggs and I can't say they smell great (although reg eggs don't either) but as against them as I was they are actually just like eating scrambled eggs. Don't be afraid of them! Taste just like any other scrambled eggs you make. I wondered whether restaurants use them after trying them. Can't beat this places shipping price!

Good Eggs

I've raised my rating because my experiment of mixing these with some of the dried egg whites very quickly made fantastically light scrambled eggs that would have made a great omelet if I'd had any stuffing handy. It is possible that waiting longer for them to reconstitute as suggested by another reviewer would make them better without the egg whites but if that is needed then the can should say so. At any rate the flavor was great and it seems that they will make good scrambled eggs one way or another.

Who knew?

Who knew that powdered eggs would cook up to look like the real thing? There is a slight flavor difference when eaten plain but dashes of salt and pepper make them delightful. I was very skeptical that they could even compare to fresh but seeing is believing. Applications: scrambled eggs while camping pasteurized eggnog and ease and speed when needing 2 dozen eggs to make freezer french toast.

I wish I've known earlier about Honeyville Farms

My wife and I love powdered eggs. Never thought we could buy them. We've looked and searched everywhere until a friend told us about Honeyville. It's better than real eggs. No more shells in my omlette. We don't have to buy a dozen at a time. Thank you

This product contains added aluminum which is a long-term mental health hazard. So for occasional use and as a survival tool in nuclear winter type scenarios it should fine - but as daily or weekly food FRESH eggs are better for your health & your wallet as well.

Perfectly good powdered eggs

I just now tried the whole powdered egg mix for the first time. Not bad at all. I first ate powdered eggs in the US Navy 40 years ago. This product is way better. I used a 2oz shot glass to measure 1 full shot of egg mix to 2 full shots of water...the 1:2 ratio called for in the directions on the can. I used a fork to mix the eggs but a small whisk would be better. It takes a minute or so to mix thoroughly. Then into a nonstick pan with a bit of butter and scramble as usual. Texture is not like real eggs but so what? The taste was fine. I like to spice up my eggs anyway. I can see using the various dried onions etc. to dress up these eggs for a really decent tastey meal. I'd recommend this egg product to anyone looking for a good healthy egg food product...especially to those like me who want a product they can store easily for long periods of time.

Great product!

Have used these for several months. I really like them scrambled (just cook them a little longer if there is any water left in the pan). They work great in cookies muffins waffles etc. Will be a staple in my pantry!

Very good

Ok the deal in our family is that I kept buying eggs from the grocer but our family never really ate too many of them on a weekly basis. Whenever I did want to bake something I ALWAYS kept finding expired eggs in the fridge. Got tired of wasting money when all I really needed was a few eggs per month for baking. Well lo and behold I ran into this whole powdered egg product at Honeyville. I was a little leary but took the plunge. For those of you out there who are unsure about using this product for baking be at rest when I tell you that this powdered whole egg product has worked fine with every single item I have baked - cakes muffins pancakes etc.. How nice it is to stash this whole egg #10 can away in my pantry and know for certain that when I need to pull it out two or more weeks from now that the product will still be usable. No more running into expired eggs in the fridge anymore. Its worth purchasing especially if you hate going to the store every week for fresh eggs.
