Professional Geek

Another good product. : ) I was recently on a zero carb/fat diet and these suckers saved my mornings. A suggestion for eating straight: Make them the night before and vacuum seal them in a jar overnight - this will drastically reduce the 'whipped' effect you get from mixing the powder and make a much more realistic end product. (note: anyone with a FoodSaver or a hand held breakline vacuum pump ($20) can vacuum pack into standard glass jars (WITH SOME CAUTION! : ). Poke a hole in the lid with a thumbtack put a 5mm square piece of anything smooth sturdy and totally flat (a bit of glass plastic or metal) and tape over the top of it. Poke a hole through a large suction cup to fit the vacuum tube tightly and connect everything. Add in food screw on lid place suction cup on top and run: Viola - your powdered food will now last months or years longer in the freezer. : )

surprisingly great taste for powdered!!

We were hesitant to buy these my husband doesn't like those "powdered" ones they use in some delis and all he eats is egg whites. I figured I could use them for cooking waffles and other baking needs. They were excellent in both uses! My husband now makes egg white omlettes all the time they beat up just like regular egg whites for the waffles amazing! The only problem I see is they are a bit tough to mix(I use a whisk) but I've found that if I mix then let them sit 10 mins then mix again it is better and not a big problem considering the good taste and ease of use.

GREAT PRODUCT GREAT VALUE

I use these mostly to mix with whole eggs for breakfast (scrambled eggs omlettes etc.) to reduce the cholesteral while maintaining a high protein breakfast. (This is much more economical than buying fresh egg white only products and they are shelf stable so not storage or expiration date issues!) They also work for foods using whipped egg whites. You don't have to figure out what to do with the yolks or worry about separating the eggs (even a bit of yolk can ruin a batch of whipped egg whites). They whip up reliably fluffy.

Great stuff

I've been using this for years. Make your own dry mixes, never run out of eggs, no egg yolks hanging out in the fridge.

being a fitness buff I watch what I eat. These make my life easier... no more cracking and separating eggs! They taste great alone and in baked goods.

Eat healthy and stretch the eggs

We use this to mix in egg dishes to make them healthier, and for protein in shakes, and just to make the eggs in the fridge stretch until the next grocery run. The cost works out to similar as most grocery store eggs, unless the store has a good sale. I also mix it up and use it in health minded recipes that call for "egg substitute." It's much cheaper than that. I have not had any issues with it going bad in the cupboard opened, even though it takes me several months to completely use up a can. At first I had trouble using them because I was trying to reconstitute it with very hot almost boiling water. I cooked the eggs! Now I just use hot tapwater.
