I ordered a 50 lb bag of Pearled Barley from Honeyville recently. The product is of good quality and cheaper compared tosimilar products in the market. Pearled Barley is a very good substitute for refined carbohydrate rich grains (e.g. rice) especially for diabetics. I was a little nervous about ordering this product because not all pearled barley is created equal and was very happy when I received my shipment. Compared to supermarket pearled barley this barley was processed in a minimalistic way so more of the whole grain was there. It makes a wonderfully chewy side dish and is great in stews and soups.
