It is a great mill, but....

I have been using my Nutrimill for a while now. It is noisy and it is pretty big, I don't leave on my counter. I will spend an hour or 2 grinding enough to refill all of my containers with various flours. I have ground corn, wheat, rye, oat groats into flour. It does have a filter in the bottom collector, but fine flour dust will come out the side in 2 locations. You may not see it much, but it is there. I solve this by hanging a damp towel over the top and down the sides so the flour dust gets caught in the damp towel. As far as the bottom flour hopper, FOLLOW the directions and flour the gasket. IF you wash it and put it together without flour on the gasket, you will be sorry. It will take 2 people to open it up. The flour acts like a dry lubricant and the hopper lid spins open much easier. I have the accessory flour bagger, but I never used it so I can't comment on this accessory. I have plastic containers I store my flours in. They are stackable and don't crack open. I label each with my label maker as to what is inside which I can see at a glance. Corn flour is easy to pick out, but winter wheat, reg wheat, rye, oat flours look similar once ground. WHY do you want this mill? Have you ever tasted fresh ground flours vs store bought white stuff? Did you know flour actually has a taste, unlike that white stuff sitting on the store shelf which was once 'fresh' in what year??? I am still experimenting with altering my recipes with different ratios of different flours. Gluten is very important in bread making as you know, so adding oat/corn flour to breads is a little tricky since neither have gluten in them. Too much and they won't rise correctly. The price is not excessive, if you use it. Try grinding grains by hand you will love this. The value is there. I didn't give it 5 stars cause we all want it cheaper. The flour dust that does come out of it is minor, but it still escapes. this is why I didn't give it 5 stars on quality.

You NEED This in Your Kitchen!!!!

I didn't buy my NutriMill at Honeyville (though that is a great price for the appliance), however, I highly recommend it. I don't usually leave reviews for things but I had to take a minute when I saw that Honeyville sells it. My nutrimill is the best kitchen appliance I own (tied for first with my Blendtec blender)! It is so easy to use and clean, it will grind a TON of grain in seconds, making for healthier grains and baked goods. I will never go back. If you're on the fence about it, I highly recommend!
