The LuminAID Solar Light is great in the event of an emergency. No fumbling around, searching for batteries and flashlights. The Solar Light is easy, just requiring the push of a button to have light. There are four brightness settings and the battery lasts up to 30 hours. Something to note is that the battery is rechargeable in 7 hours of direct sunlight. This light isn’t just great for emergencies; it can be used for camping, and hiking. Just a few perks: lightweight, floats, waterproof, and easy to pack. We're sure you can find other great uses for it, as well!

You May Be Wondering:
  • How do I inflate my LuminAID? Bite or pinch the base of the valve while you’re blowing air into the light. After a few uses, the valve will become flexible.
  • How do I turn the light on and off? There is a red power button just below the solar panel. Press this button to turn the light on. Press the power button, until you’ve gone through the brightness settings to turn off.
  • Are the settings adjustable? Yes. The power button serves as the setting adjuster. You can cycle through the settings to choose the brightness you prefer.
  • How can I charge my LuminAID? Turn your light off and place it in direct sunlight with the panel facing up. In order to achieve a full charge, allow it to charge for 7 hours.
  • How do I know it’s charging? It can only charge while it’s turned off. The red indicator light next to the power button will turn red when the solar panel is receiving enough sunlight to charge.
  • How long does a full charge last? It will provide light for up to 30 hours.

Incredible Product!

The LuminAID Solar Light is flat-out incredible and I don't impress easily. It's sheer genius!

I purchased three of them to keep in my emergency supplies and decided to test one to see how it worked. I left it charging in the sun when I went to work and came home in a raging thunderstorm. The LuminAID was soaked, but I toweled it off, blew it up, turned it on, and it worked. So, the things are waterproof, as advertised. I left it on all night, and it was still burning, full blast, the next morning, so I can testify that the claim that you'll get eight hours of light on maximum setting is also true.

The amount of light the LuminAID produces from such a small package is startling, especially on the high setting. I'm a lifelong hunter/camper and I've used every light source, available. The LuminAID isn't as bright as a propane lantern, but you could easily tie two or three together by their handles and hang them up in your tent and they would outshine a propane lantern. It would also be far cheaper, lighter, and take up virtually no space. I used to take three cases (36 bottles) of propane on our month-long camping trips and I'd go through two-and-a-half of them. That was a lot of weight, took up a lot of room, and cost an arm and a leg. A few LuminAIDs would have given me more of light, for free (no propane to buy), and I could have carried them in a pocket.

Its small size is one of the most appealing features of the LuminAID. It folds up into a small packet, no larger than a wallet, and weighs a couple of ounces. You could charge one up, slip it in your pocket before you leave camp, and be assured that you'd have plenty of light to find your way, if you didn't make it back to camp
before dark. It would also serve as a great light beacon to help others find you if you became lost in the dark.

I'm so impressed that I intend to buy several more LuminAIDs: Some for my emergency supplies, some for my camping gear, and one or two to use in the house in place of a night light.

As I mentioned to the store representative, when I bought this item. I was browsing the market for said item, and I'm glad I found it, because it works like a charm.
