Honeyville Freeze Dried Sweet Corn is produced in a process where moisture is removed from the product using a very low temperature and a vacuum. Only about 3 percent moisture remains in the product at the time of packaging. The end product weight is reduced by over 90 percent, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh taste, natural color, and texture of corn.
When rehydrated, the product will absorb the liquid and resemble fresh corn once again. The taste is great, and the nutritional value is preserved. Freeze drying provides natural and additive free vegetables to be stored effectively for long periods of time. Since buying the corn I have had so many people tell me that they could not believe I had served them freeze dried corn. It taste so sweet we've even eaten it like a snack. I've used it in casseroles as well as buy it self and in soups. Great product.Review by Wanda
We first bought this for storage, but after trying it we found it is so good we use it for several dishes. My wife will even eat it for a "non-green" veggie. (She's from Iowa so she knows what GOOD corn tastes like.)Review by R W
