Honeyville's Dehydrated Shoestring Carrots are made from fresh, crisp carrots and have a unique crunchy texture straight out of the can thats great for salads, sides and more. Carrots are one of the healthiest vegetables for you, providing high amounts of vitamin A and potassium, which help your vision and muscle recovery. When rehydrated, these carrots work great in stews, stir fry, soups and even carrot cake. Dried carrots are an essential part of the vegetable food group for food storage, emergency preparedness and everyday home cooking, and being pre-shredded adds convenience and quick use.

Shelf-Life: Stores for 10 to 15 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place). Once opened, it has an average shelf life of 6 to 12 months.

Instructions: Add 2 parts water to 1 part carrot. Allow Shoestring Carrots to hydrate for about 15 minutes or until fully rehydrated.

Uses: Used for soups, casseroles, salads, cake and any recipe requiring peeled or shredded carrots.

Packaging:  Dehydrated Shoestring Carrots are sealed air tight in a #10 can and weighs approximately 2.25 pounds. A case contains 6 #10 cans and weighs 13.5 pounds. Each can contains 39 servings. One serving size is ¼ cup. Once rehydrated, a serving size comes out to about ¼ cup.

Add to stews and soups Great flavor

The flavor is great, almost like roasted or sauteed carrots. The texture can be stringy if not cooked through. It's not too bad as a dry snack, but it sticks to your teeth. It's best used because of the concentrated flavors for slow cookers and braises. It's a flavor ingredient more than a texture one. Great addition to the tomato powder for balancing sauces. Also brings bland grocery store tomato's to life in small quantities, but nothing replaces good tomatoes. I grind it for those purposes.
