Packaging:  Blanched Almond Flour in bulk is available in a 5 pound bag and a 25 pound bag. The 25 pound bag of almond flour is a commercial package that is not sealed. It comes in the industry standard food-grade bag that is folded over in a heavy box for shipment. Almond flour contains natural oils, and in a 25 pound bag, the flour isn't sealed in order to stop moisture from building and making the flour go rancid. Packaging may vary.

Love the product not the price

I have been using this product for a year and a half. I have a gluten sensitivity and this has been a wonderful addition to my diet. The product is always fresh and ships fairly quickly. I use it as my only flour for baking and cooking. My only issue is that the price has gone up and up since when I first purchased it. I know it is very popular now but why would that make the price go high. I have started using Trader Joe's almond meal - much cheaper. It is not blanched so is more "mealy" but I am learning to adjust. The price of Honeyville has just become too cost prohibitive in this economy.

This is ridiculous

Look I love this almond flour. A lot of the paleo blogs that I follow recommend this brand and I get why. What I don't get is why the already high price had to get higher. The shipping on this product is ridiculously slow too. Guess I'll just have to stick to Trader Joe's version (which is not blanched) until you guys can come up with something that is affordable.

Happy Baker!

We recently eliminated wheat from our cooking and baking. All the good baking recipes use blanched almond flour but our local price is $11.00/lb. I was so happy to find the opportunity to purchase six of the five pound bags at the price of $7.52 per pound!! A co-worker is splitting the order with me and I will still have plenty for baking from now through the holidays. The quality of the Honeyville product is every bit as good as the other name brands that sell for much more. The shipping was really fast (placed the order online on Sunday afternoon and received it Friday morning). Great shipping price of only $4.49 for such a heavy box! Thank you Honeyville!

Amazing product but totally price gouging!!

I love this flour but just as I get ready to finish the bag I bought less than 3 months ago...the price went up by $5???? I would have stocked up!I use this stuff like crazy having a 3 year old celiac and tree nut (except almonds!) daughter. This is her lifeline for safe almonds and delicious nutritious additive and cross contamination free food. I bread things make muffins pancakes. Her birthday cake quiche and pie crust... It is sad to be going broke making whole foods from scratch rather than feeding my family from a box. Honeyville I am so disappointed.

Great flour but....

Ok I love the almond flour but the shipping is very slow and I just saw the price went up so I guess I will have to start looking for a new place to purchase my almond flour. :-(

cheaper at costco

you can get almond flour from costco for $5 per lb Honeyville is selling for $7/lb + $4.49 shipping this is almost $8/lb.

The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread

I have nave been able to make a decent pie crust. Now I can with the Blanched Almond Flour. Mine have been perfect every time. I use 1 1/2 cup almond flour 3 Tablespoons butter 3 Tablespoons Stevia and a pinch of salt. Don't get out your rolling pin it works better with just your fingers. I blend it with my mixer then form it into a ball. Place the pastry ball in the center of the pan and work it out to th top of the pan Prick the center part with a fork and bake 325 for 10 min or until golden brown.

Wheat Belly Diet

Wow! This flour has been exactly what I needed! We are eliminating wheat from our diet and this flour is making it totally possible. With the help of the Wheat Belly Cookbook and this almond flour we are adjusting pretty well even with hungry teenagers! I just made a birthday cake - yellow with choc frosting among many other dishes and they are turning out great. We even had garlic toast last night from the leftover biscuits made with almond flour. We are fighting a case of severe really severe eczema and I'm hoping that eliminating wheat will be part of the solution. This will be our 2nd case of the blanched almond flour.
